Fiesta Valentine's Day

I love this tablecloth! The colors are beautiful and versatile, complementing any season and matching many of my dishes. A few years back, I used it for a late summer table setting with Franciscan Apple https://www.astheluckycrowflies.com/post/an-apple-a-day-1While. Although this table was arranged specifically for Valentine's Day, it is not overly cute or filled with hearts.
I kew I wanted to use Fiesta for a Valentine's setting, so I checked my tablecloth cabinet for vintage floral patterns but didn't find any inspiration. However, as soon as I saw this floral pattern, ideas started flowing! I had just set the previous table with transferware and crystal and decided to retain a few items for this table.
Knowing the tablecloth wouldn't cover the whole table, I decided to let the mahogany wood of my grandmother's dining table show. She got married in 1930, and the table dates back to 1932, making it 94 years old. We've reupholstered and repaired the chairs, and they likely need another round of reupholstering and gluing. Eventually, I'll need to refinish the tabletop, perhaps when I retire!

Fiesta is the inspiration for this table. I used Cinnabar and Flamingo for the dinner plates on top of a platinum woven placemat.
The tablecloth has so many shades of pink all the way to burgundy and greens from sage to dark greens, it was fun to figure out which Fiesta colors to chose. I used a Shamrock berry bowl on the Flamingo and a Jade salsa bowl on the Cinnabar.
For the napkins I thought I had six white napkins with burgundy crocheted borders, but if I do have six, I could only find four. For the two Flamingo place settings I used a mushroom colored brocade, which in hindsight, I should have used for the whole table, as the white is a bit stark.
I'm using my everyday silverware, Mikasa Harmony, and my everyday glassware, Noritake Breeze. The woven rose napkin rings, which are from the previous table, nicely complement the tablecloth.

The centerpiece is a combination of pink, green and cream colored hydrangeas in a wooden box, flanked by candles on each side of the floral display. I included the Rose Fiesta salt and pepper shakers. On the buffet, there are Trader Joe's roses in a Jade Fiesta vase and a pink pressed glass footed bowl.

An any occasion table that works for Valentine's Day!
