Is it too soon for Halloween?

I'm eagerly (and impatiently) waiting for Halloween! Actually, both Fall and Halloween, but Halloween is occupying my table-setting mindshare. I'm gradually incorporating Fall elements into my decor, and with September approaching, I'm getting excited. However, Halloween decor is still about 8-9 weeks away!

The excitement began when I was texting with my cousin, who loves Fiesta and has an amazing eye not only for Halloween decorations but is truly gifted in creating a beautiful home, about Halloween dishes. We were discussing the recently added cute and fun Halloween cat on Lavender to my collection (and to my cousin's as well!), and we both wished we lived nearer to enjoy more decorating, crafting, canning, and spending time together. Instead, we share these activities virtually and vicariously.

The Fiesta Tableware Company creates the most adorable Halloween decals, and each year, they release new designs! My latest addition is the Fiesta Halloween cat on Lavender.
Fiesta has so many fun Halloween decals, including the Halloween cat now available on Linen, Poppy, Lavender, and Sky; the ghosts on black; and one of my favorites, the dancing skeleton trio on white. Over the years, there have been many other decals, but these remain my favorites.
Besides the delightful decals, the Fiesta pumpkin plates are ideal for transitioning from Fall to Halloween. These pumpkin plates come in various colors, with some being new and others retired. I own them in Poppy, Turquoise, and Lemongrass. Currently, they are available in Poppy, Jade, and Daffodil, though Linen is out of stock.

I love all of my crow-themed plates, especially since the blog is named "As the Lucky Crow Flies." Whenever I come across a plate (or a pillow, linens, statue, placemat, and so on) featuring a crow design, it inevitably finds its way into my shopping cart.

After chatting with my cousin, I thought, "I have plenty of Halloween dishes, especially since I just got the Lavender Halloween cats." However, I still wanted to find a tablecloth or placemats to create the perfect setting with the cats, so I headed to HomeGoods. As soon as I walked in, Halloween decorations were everywhere! I swear, that store is my weakness.

I have long admired the Royal Stafford Halloween collection, particularly the plates featuring witches. And, at $7.99 each, I couldn't resist buying them. Initially, I put 4 plates in my cart, then increased it to 6 to set a complete table, and finally ended up with 8 to ensure I have enough for a dinner party. The jack o'lanterns decorating the border add the perfect touch.
When I returned home, I searched for the pattern's name to add it to my inventory and discovered it was called "Witches Coven." I also learned that the china maker Royal Stafford ceased operations, as the company was liquidated in February 2025. Their Christmas patterns are so striking, featuring mainly black and white with splashes of color in the designs. I own the red Christmas sleigh plates, which pair perfectly with any green Fiesta plates. Many of the patterns are still available on Amazon, but the stock won't last indefinitely. It's unfortunate that another great pottery company has closed.

There are just 74 days left until Halloween, and I have several fall tables to prepare before then. I'll share this table from last year with you and practice some patience...
