Our oldest son glanced at the table and remarked, "Oh, a boo, rattle, and meow table!" It was both funny and accurate! He assisted in photographing this table, showcasing his skills as a talented photographer!

I love setting Halloween tables! Fiesta makes it so easy and fun with their adorable Halloween decal patterns! If you've been reading this blog for a while, you know I am a huge Grateful Dead fan and, well, the dancing skeletons??? Of course! Every Halloween, Jack Straw from Wichita and Bertha join us! You can learn more about them here: https://www.astheluckycrowflies.com/post/halloween-cats-and-jack-and-bertha

Yesterday, while browsing Facebook Marketplace, I noticed that someone in my town was selling the Fiesta Halloween cats and ghost plates. I contacted them and picked up the plates today! I met a fellow enthusiast, and we exchanged stories about our husbands opening cabinets only to find them filled with Fiesta!

This table was set up last weekend when my best friend was visiting. We laid out the spiderweb tablecloth and the pumpkin placemats.

When I got home from picking up the new Fiesta plates (which were unused!), I immediately began setting the table. I opted to keep the spiderweb and tulle in the center of the table and use the pumpkin placemats. I had the Halloween luncheon plates ready, but I needed to choose the colors for the dinner plates, chargers, and napkins. I wanted more color than just Black, White, Poppy, and Slate on the table. In previous years, I've used Chartreuse and Lilac, but those are tucked away in a cabinet! The Butterscotch complements the eyes of the Johanna Parker cat plate, and Shamrock seemed to tie in with the greens in the living room. In the past, I've used black chargers, but with the spiderweb, it would be too dark. I selected a gray sheet metal charger; it complements the gray in the ghosts and really makes the dishes stand out.

A few years ago, I discovered Johanna Parker and her whimsical Halloween patterns. Aren't the cats adorable, and they match the Fiesta pattern so nicely! I am also a fan of Mackenzie Childs and love her harlequin pattern. I added two of her crows on pumpkins; they complemented the crows circling the chandelier. This is, after all, the "As the Lucky Crow Flies" blog!

This year, Fiesta unveiled a new Halloween design named "Halloween Duet," showcasing two dancing skeletons! Honestly, Jack and Bertha? Dancing skeletons? How could I resist falling in love with them, reminiscent of the Grateful Dead's song"They Love Each Other," and not incorporate them into my Halloween table setting?

The house is decorated both inside and outside for Halloween. The blog wouldn't be complete without a photo of Esmeralda, our dragon, alongside her new companion, the ghost with a Gene Simmons tongue (thanks to Hubbie!).

Happy Halloween to you!
